About Gurdwara Sahib

Gurudwara Kalgidhar is known respectfully not only in Punjab but in the whole Indian Sikh community. Gurudwara Kalgidhar has played a very important role in the growth of Sikhism. Gurudwara Kalgidhar is a part of the history of Sikhism because Gududwara sahib played important role for the welfare of Sikhism . Communities make history, History made by sacrifice
" ਆਵਹੁ ਸਿਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਹੋ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥"

A Sikh pays contribution for the construction of the gurudwara sahib physically, financially and spritually. This is the reason Sikhs are contributing for construction of the Gurudwara sahib.
" ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥ "

During rehabilitation from the partition, when Sikh residing here in field Ganj area of Ludhiana. There was no Gurudwara Sahib in this area. In the begining after partition Shri Guru Granth Sahib was established in a Mosque at Khera Chowk. Some of the Sikhs were not happy with this establishment

So, Sikhs started looking for new site for Gurudwara sahib. They find a place to the next road and started construction. Then there was a question what would be the name of the Gurudwara sahib? After mutual understanding name was decided as " Gurudwara Kalgidhar Sahib Singh Sabha" by the grace of the Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji.
